Check out J Brand jeans, I just bought a pair of their cigarette jeans, in black. I purchased mine at Knit Wit, a philly fave, they are also available through Rawclothing. Don’t bother looking at the J Brand website because it looks dreadful.
The simple style of this jean is a relief from all the cluttered destroyed denim that is still lurking in stores. The solid black color is refreshing, today’s market is sooooo saturated with blue washed out and blasted legs, it’s time to try something solid. These jeans are needed now more than ever, with all the long tunic tops which are so popular right now we need a simple smooth waistband and back pockets ( to avoid unfortunate bulges). These snug fitting jeans are ‘tapered with a 15″ leg opening’, translation: your foot will actually fit through the bottom opening without lots of tugging!
update: In addition to J Brand, FashionStyleChic pointed out Tsubi jeans which also are very slim and are worn by the likes of Ashley Olsen and Lindsay Lohan. My favorite thing about them is that the black/blue color is called ‘Richard Gere’.
what about us fellaz? they got the same for us? and don’t tell me to try on the womyn’s.
i’m with you girl. i’m done with all these destroyed, blasted, sanded, power washes!
Goodie! I’ve been looking at some skinny jeans for a long time. I’ve been stalking tsubi jeans on ebay but I may buy these instead….
Thanks!
hi, i’ve been eyeing the j brand and was wondering bout the fit. Are they true to size or do i go one up? The just look so tight i’m worried i cant fit my ass thru!
These jeans are very stretchy so I would recommend sizing down. The 2% spandex is not only easy to squeeze into, but it actually does a good job of sucking in all the appropriate parts during wear.
J. Brands are the best! So are Sass & Bides. I have the black 14″ J. Brands and they are very true to size. Maybe a little itsy bitsy snug. I noticed these jeans are thicker and more durable, so they won’t wear out any time soon (they are also pretty warm too). Plus, I realized even after multiple wearings (at least 3 hours each time), they still didn’t stretch out much. So you can be happy that by the end of they day you don’t get the butt-bags. For reference, I’d stick with your usual size because the material is so thick.
I recently found a pair of the 914 14″ cigarette leg cut at the Nordstrom Rack, it was a pretty lucky find as they were marked down quite a bit. I actually wasn’t familiar with the brand, but they were in my size, great color, fit and a great price. I agree with the comments about the refreshing change to solid colors. I also love how simple they are, more attention to fit and quality of the overall jeans. I would definitely not order them a size big. The small amount of spandex goes a long way to stretching and allowing them to conform to you. If I were to buy another pair, I may go down 1 size, which is 1 size smaller than I usually wear. The material is great and thick, so it’s not too much stretch, just right. I love them…
