For the collection Marc by Marc Jacobs fanny packs are essential. Instead of being retro styled, these packs are fresh looking in their shape and styling. It’s been a while since fanny packs have been acceptable for fashionistas, but if Marc says it’s okay, then it’s okay. I love how he has arranged these pieces by cinching the pack around the body, holding in the volume of the oversized long coats. I think that his timing couldn’t be better, ‘it’ bags are soooooooo over. Stella McCartney has been talking trash on accessories which are overtly labeled, and the fanny pack is the perfect leap away from status bags. That is, unless someone invents a status pack…
