The Anna Sui show delivered a paired down take on what Anna does best. The 60’s inspired shapes and prints looked fresh when they were super shinny like the images shown above. I was grateful that she paired down here usual Boho vibe in order to stay in keeping with the cleaner looks that are so popular at the moment.
Although I was a big fan of the show as a whole, I have to admit I was shocked when I saw these patterned boots. It brought me back to Paris, where I went on a shopping trip last year and fell in love with Isabelle Marant’s patterned boots (shown in bottom right). I’m never a fan of knock-offs but I think that I may have to try to snag a pair of Anna’s boots (bottom left) since I missed my opportunity with Isabelle’s.

Amy- I told you to trust your fashion instincts!!! You definitly should have snagged those boots when you had the chance….now they’re long gone. Still, I advise you not to settle for these not-as-good knockoffs….make it your quest to find an original pair. It will be worth the wait
OMG
while in LA at Resurection on Melrose–we totally spotted Ms. Sui herself. First of all, she looks not at all as old as she is (the actual age i do not know).
she was wearing a vintage woven hippie indian top–those gauzy hippie liberal arts college numbers-with lurex, like her runway, a mini and black tights and black flat boots.
and yes, she checked us out too:)
