I was getting my fringe trimmed at Commune (the cutest hair salon in the world) and came across some new pieces by Aaron Ruff of Digby and Iona. Instantly I hauled Leo and myself over to The Market NYC located at 268 Mulberry Street (between Prince & Houston) to buy the ‘square jewel ring’ from the artist directly (at a modest discount from the retail price). I love this piece (the second in from the left), it’s like a ring that a grandma would wear, but so sartorial/clever with the slab of faceted silver rather than a gaudy gem. I’m a big fan of Aaron’s work; you might be familiar with him from a write-up in NYLON mag a bunch of months ago for his pendant of a couple making-out.
