Shirt Shape: Artist Blouse

I’m loving the ‘artist blouse’ shape that is happening on the runways. It’s such a natural transition from the knit tunic that has been happening for sooooo long. I can’t wait until this silhouette trickles down. The above looks are by Karen Walker, Gen Art, Nicole Miller, and Cacharel.

I’m loving anything right now that has some serious volume. The silver lame top and the cutesy blue with bow are my favs. There’s something very daring about wearing a garment that doesn’t flaunt your figure.

Wah, I don’t think I can wear these. They seem designed for the small-boobed.

FYI, Gen Art is actually a group that organizes fashion shows for new designers. It’s at http://www.genart.org/index.htm.
