It won't be because of anything personal, they are probably just overwhelmed by all the old-lady divas that are there for all the free samples they can get. I had to wait about 15 minutes before being waited on, but it worked out amazingly. They gave me a free facial, did some makeup on me, and loaded me up with 2 weeks worth of samples. I highly recommend checking it out. Don’t be intimidated of Blue Mercury, just accept that they will probably ignore you at first.
