Bunchy plaid panties…would you wear them?

Apparently everyone is going nuts over plaid bunchy panties. The above choices are by Urban Outfitters, Steven Alan, and Aerie by American Eagle. In principle I love the way they look, the mixture of boy/girl style is great but the amount of gathering just isn’t for me. Would you wear them?

i love the steven alan ones. i kind of like the diaper-ness of these.

I totally would! Simply because I doubt I’ll ever see myself in anything plaid on the outside, so I’ll wear them where only I could see them.

Pretty much same case as my Hello Kitty undies, heh.

They’re cute-ish, but I fear the dreaded panty line way too much to tempt me to this. Maybe in a lounging around the house before bedtime kinda way - but I expect my underwear to be more multi-functional than that.

I would wear them in certain circumstances, or with certain types of outfits, where panty-lines are not a concern. The rest of the time, I’d just stick with the ones I already buy.

they would obvs. have to be worn with a sundress… no wonder they’re being introduced at the beginning of spring… when everyone’s so excited about wearing their light, airy spring things

This made me laugh because I’m wearing bunchy underpants today! I am totally surfing the zeitgeist!

I bought mine last year from Target. They are white with black polkadots and a black velvet ribbon trim. Once you stretch them out they aren’t so bunchy. But I don’t tend to wear them often, though, because the legholes are frilly and tend to show up under clothes.

Oh, these are CUTE! I tried making my own few pairs like this a few years ago… but they did not work out at all. Periodically, I’ve thought about them since… the ones you posted are adorable!

  14. afib Says:

I’m mean sure why not! They’re very girlie a depature from last year’s seriousness. I think these can lead for more playful prints & designs.

  15. Rob Says:

Thanks md8 for speaking for all men. Except this one.

  16. elizabeth Says:

I definitely wouldn’t wear these because they look too much like picnic underwear, or like a farm-girl would wear them. I prefer solid colors, and more simple.

i bought some from topshop, but hv yet to wear them ;P

  18. Jana Says:

I would! I make them too and they are really popular choices - flying off the pegs!

  19. kelly.hope Says:

they’re cute but they seem impractical… i mean they’re not like sexy to wear with a guy but they’re also not good to wear under clothes.

There’s a great Q&A with Steven on Valet magazine. It’s worth the read. He goes in great detail about the upcoming line at Urban.
