Peter Saville…

The other day when I was so taken with Kate Moss’s graphic identity, I had no idea who to thank for all it’s lovely-ness. Turns out British graphic designer Peter Saville in conjunction with Paul Barnes is responsible. You may have seen Peter’s work on album covers for bands such as Joy Division and New Order. Basically his stuff is amazingly rad, check out some more of his work here (Designed by Peter Saville) or here (co-author of Visionaire 36).

Just gorgeous typography. I guess we shouldn’t expect anything less from anything associated with her.

I’m a graphic designer from NYC, i Hate the typography for Kate Moss, i feel like something more expected should have been used, it looks like a hick’up of comas and sillyness. I imagined her name to be waif like and thin, very thin, with some type of twinking with the kerning having the letters tightly placed. not some corny font. i am very taken by the collection, not the logo. too kiddy,
