Woven Shirts???

Call me crazy, but all of a sudden I’m totally into woven shirts. I’ve always held a grudge against them…growing up I had to wear collared shirts to school every day as part of our dress code. Following that as I approached college, I rebelled and cut the necks off of all of my shirts. Then landing a job designing garments, I struggled through designing woven shirts, and worst of all trying to draw a collar accurately (very challenging, try it you’ll see). And after all that, I actually bought one the other day, and I can’t seem to take it off.

Me too! I just bought this plaid one from J. Crew (http://www.jcrew.com/catalog/product.jhtml?id=prod84753381&catId=cat180155) and love it! I used to think they were too preppy, too, but this one, when worn with some comfy old jeans and green Topsiders, has a 70’s camp counselor feel.

I like that shirt, haven’t thought of woven shirts in quite a while but maybe I should give it a try again. I just started a shopping blog. It’s really new so I’d love you to check it out at blog.like.com
