New music…
The other week my closest friends kidnapped me and took me up to Newport for a crazy bachelorette weekend. And, it reminded me that in addition to amazing stories, experiences, and so on…One of the best things about a road trip is that you listen to other people’s tapes (or these days ipods). Anyways, I’m loving these two albums. I’ve been listening to them on repeat for days now. Above is Beirut’s Gulag Orkestar and below is Andrew Bird’s Armchair Apocrypha. Both are melancholy without being depressing, a very important distinction.

Oh, I looooove Beirut ! I’m very excited cos I’m gonna see him in concert in a couple of weeks… What I love the most about Beirut is his very specific sound. It doesn’t look like anything else. He doesn’t use any guitar, we’re not used to that anymore. It’s very refreshing.
I’ve already been told about Andrew Bird, I think I’m gonna check this out, his music seems very interesting too.
