The other day I decided I needed a few summer dresses to last me until the weather changes. I opted for these two pieces, which I’ve been wearing pretty much every day (that’s the great thing about basic solid colors!), both from Urban Outfitters.

New in store…

I’ve come to the realization that I am a chronic window shopper. Maybe it’s from working in fashion, but I never buy anything, but I’m always trolling around, delighting in finding the most beautiful object in a store/site. So, that being said, I’ll be having a new section which will highlight my favorite find of the week. Shown above is my favorite find of the week, the Whittler Serving Set, which can be found at Anthropologie.

The other night Erin from Bird and Banner mentioned Hi+Low, a great new blog. It’s written by Abby Clawson Low. It’s a great collection of fun finds. I love how specific her taste is, lovely!

Leo and I are finally back to our normal routine here in the states. We had an amazing time traveling around Sardinia and Puglia. Above is one of my most favorite places that we stayed at, called the Truli Country House. Truli’s are ancient mud round structures with brick-like pointed tops (as in the top picture).

Lizz (a co-founder of Seamsters) gave me the gift of Gourmet magazine for my wedding shower. It brought back such fond memories of my mom’s stacks of Gourmet magazines that were always laying around the house in the 80’s. I had no idea that it was so modern. I love all the amazing photos (really cutting edge). Some of the spreads are super messy and amazing. I loved the saturation of color in this spread (the above berry bread pudding is really purple!).

So Leo and I just got married, and we are off to Italy for our honeymoon! So I won’t be posting over the next 2 weeks, please check back upon our return. Shown above are the cake toppers we used. They are custom made by Ann Wood. I love the way she patchworked the bodies with our own printed fabrics.

Paul Smith…Pink

I never really paid much attention to Paul Smith (I thought he just did stripes, or something…) but these days people are always going on about him. So when Joy posted about the Pink line I decided to check it out. Some of the photos are super cute, although I always fall for any sort of nature-y fashion shoot.

Twist Bandeau…

I’ve been doing a lot of swimsuit searching lately in preparation for my honeymoon in Italy, and the twist bandeau tops are by far the cutest new swim shape. This shape is super flattering for so many body types, and it’s sure to keep away nasty tan lines. This one pictured here is Tommy Bahama (available at Nordstroms). I recommend sizing down so that your top doesn’t slide off.
