Can someone please explain to me why feathers are in???

Although it’s my nature to love anything Prada (as shown above), I just can’t get into it. When I was watching Kimora Lee Simmons’ new show, Life in the Fab Lane, and Vogue Editor-at-Large, Andre Leon Talley suggested she wear feathers, I thought it was ridiculous…but Andre was on to something, it really is the biggest trend of the moment, do you love it or hate it?

While paging through September’s massive Vogue, I nearly reached the end, when I came across these lovely photos of Luke and Julie Janklow’s home. I love the office chair paired with the fussy wall paper. I adore the wacky table setting too, the delicate china looks amazing next to the wild bowl of carrots and massive zucchinis.

With the sudden shift in weather over the past week, looking at the fall collections is actually bearable.  Above are two looks by Vena Cava that I love.

Grey eyeshadow is my latest obsession. I couldn’t be sicker of bronze eyes…I’ve nursed that look for years, and it’s time for a colder, darker shade. The above is by MAC Cosmetics, although my personal fave is always Dior (whose 5-color compact I carry religiously ).

Almost every magazine I pick up these days has a feature on Karta’s dresses. I’m not totally sold on the retro styling and big gems. What’s the verdict? Are you loving it, or hating it?

Denim has been pretty calm for a bit now… Lately we’ve been battling with the idea of wide leg jeans (which no one ever wears on the street) and colored jeans (which seem like a good idea, until you get in the changing room)…but now we have a new debate on our hands. What is going on with acid-washed denim? I tried on a pair this weekend to see what the fuss was about. I hated to actually like them, but I did really like them. But in the end, I walked out of the shop empty handed (but only because they were too long, and they had pesky ankle zippers). So what do you think, love them or leave them?
