Love it or Hate it…Fall Feathers…

Can someone please explain to me why feathers are in???
Although it’s my nature to love anything Prada (as shown above), I just can’t get into it. When I was watching Kimora Lee Simmons’ new show, Life in the Fab Lane, and Vogue Editor-at-Large, Andre Leon Talley suggested she wear feathers, I thought it was ridiculous…but Andre was on to something, it really is the biggest trend of the moment, do you love it or hate it?

LOVE it, can’t get enough of it! I need to see the Kimora show, it’s gotta be hilarious.

  2. I love feathers. I love to wear a touch of feathers here or there, but this Prada outfit seems a little over the top. It makes me want to sneeze. When the trend is over you could roll around on your wood floors, so all wouldn’t be lost.

Love it, in moderation. Feathers on a headband can work, but the photo above is a Hate-it in my books.

I love the feathers i have seen recently on bags – I think that is the most wearable place that this whole trend can go…even though the photo you posted is killer

I love feathers!!! Best to use them suptly, I think. I tried to use them as an embellishment on a dress I designed, but the people in China sugested I think of some other alternative as not to spread to the bird flu!!!

I guess I’m in the minority here, but I just don’t get it! Come on some of this stuff looks like a brid regurgitated on some of these girls!

Lisa- I’m with you. I’ve never been a fan of feathers and from what I’ve seen- I’m not changing my mind anytime soon!

only in small amounts…like a headband, hair accessory, etc..not a full on feather dress…!

i love them–they seem kind of obvious, combining the deco influences and the native/tribal influences we’ve been seeing–and i wore them braided into my hair all summer (even though i otherwise dress pretty ’60s-bardot). i’ll do touches here and there, but i will say that full-on feather skirts and capes are probably not for those of us who won’t be attending the costume institute ball at the met next year…
