Iphone…
Thursday, October 25th, 2007
Leo surprised me with an iphone when I got back from Paris, and so far I’m loving it. The only down side is inevitably scratching the face. I’ve been looking around for something to slip it into, as most purses don’t have pockets sized for this growing trend in phones. Here is the best that Etsy has to offer, the case above is by Working Class Heroes.

Here are some of my favorites from the Fall issue of Martha Stewart Weddings. I love the concept of the calligraphic cakes and the soft relaxed look of these flowers.

I’m looking forward to checking out these crocheted pieces at Art Star. They are by Emily Barletta, whose work is hand crocheted to reference imaginary body structures.
Jewelry…Thea Tolsma…
Friday, October 19th, 2007
I love the work of jewelry designer Thea Tolsma. Although rubber inner tubing isn’t my favorite material in the world, Tolsma’s creations are amazing and incredibly intricate.
Fall coats…Tulle
Thursday, October 18th, 2007
Over the weekend Leo and I headed over to Lambertville, NJ. It’s a cute area that has a handful of small boutiques and vintage shops. I was shopping at Bucks County Dry Goods (a great small chain of eclectic wares). I picked up a coat by Tulle which is super chic. I didn’t post a picture of it, because the pic on their site looks lame, but here is the link to it. The above is another really cute number featured in Marie Claire.
More furry vests…

Looping back to the furry vest debate, mck mentioned that the Sartorialist recently took an awesome picture of a girl in a furry vest at the Prada show, here it is!
Beautiful books in Paris…

While in search of a decent book to read in Paris, I came across these amazing book covers. These classics are published by Penguin as part of their ‘Great Loves’ series.

Love it or Hate it??? Furry Vests…
Monday, October 8th, 2007
Isabel Marant is my all time favorite designer. Every time I go to Paris, I schedule my first day around making a trip to her store. The above image is an Isabel Marant ad from a French magazine. The most common high-street trend I saw was the furry vest. It’s kind of a weird trapper-chic look. I’m not a fur person (I only wear it if it’s vintage), what do you think? Love it or Hate it?
Latest Obsession…Python tape
Friday, October 5th, 2007
While browsing Atypk’s site, I found this python tape that I love. It’s giving me some great Christmas wrapping ideas…
Shopping at Colette…
Thursday, October 4th, 2007
I spied these gun rulers while shopping at Colette, (these rulers can also be purchased at Atypyk) Colette is an awesome concept shop near the Louvre which is known for having a very high profile clientelle, but us average fashionistas can always find something there too!
PS-I ran into Karl Lagerfeld while trying to get up the stairwell.
Latest Obsession…riding boots
Wednesday, October 3rd, 2007
Although I’m typically I heel sort of girl, I’m totally obsessed with riding boots. I’m not sure if it’s from growing up on a farm, but I love the near practicality of these boots. I just picked up a pair at a second hand shop in Paris that has a similar shape. These are by Frye, and are available at Anthropologie.
