Normally, I would be opposed to this, but everywhere I see it done, I really like it. Fur, when done well, adds an interesting texture to an otherwise typical outfit (or couch, etc.)

Also, the Sart caught a great example of a fur vest. I love this outfit and this girl:

i love faux fur vests, and i certainly love them with the above sort of look just as much as i would love one with a crepey vintage dress and woolen tights. i love adding unexpected texture, and faux fur does just that.

not real fur, though. it's so easy to cut real fur out of our lives, why not just do it?

ah, fur... honestly, i love the idea of a warm vest. it's smart, and like the mocassin/plaid lumberjack-ish trends.. i guess it's a given. however, they're so damn hard to pull off! i walk down the streets and see too many women confusing their sexuality for a trend.. (granted living in minneapolis, perhaps they truly are just cold.) for now, let's just stick to menswear.

maybe if it were really vintagey-looking and worn with something more havisham/tenenbaum-y, like a slightly decaying flapper dress & thick tights...but as w/ the image above, i have too many "TECHNOFUTURE RAVE CYBERPUNK!!"-late-'90s traumas to pull it off, myself.
