Places to go in Paris…

During my recent trip to Paris I got a chance to go out a bit more than usual. I found a bunch of great places which I highly recommend. The first and most fun was Favela Chic, located at 18 Rue du Fbg du Temple. There is also one in London apparently. It’s a Brazilian themed restaurant, which seems to be a growing trend in the trendy Oberkampf area. The food was great, and the mojitos were even better. The place switches to a club atmosphere later at night with a great DJ spinning mostly good American pop and hip-hop. Some other places I loved were Ave Maria (also in the Oberkampf area) which serves Brazilian food and amazing champagne frozen margaritas. We stayed in the Marais this time, and found a surprisingly lovely cafe on 9 rue Saint-Denis of all places called, Le Petit Chat. Surrounded by panini/crepe stands, this cafe has great service (and a multi-lingual staff which makes everything super easy!) and great affordable mains and drinks.
