Loving silver ornaments…
Thursday, October 23rd, 2008
I love the idea of these picture fram ornaments. It could be so cute to put really old family photos (all weathered and worn looking black+white ones) inside of these cute little frames and tie it to the tree with a pretty ribbon. We do a metallic theme for our treek, so I’m always looking for silver, gold, and copper toned ornaments.
Jewelry Boxes…

Lately, I’ve been trying to be a little more grown-up about everything…so when I was getting ready to go out the other evening and pulled out a cardboard box brimming with my rings, necklaces, and all I realized it’s time to upgrade to something a little more lady-like. So, I love the above option (the large one of course) they are from Pottery Barn, and are silver, and I love the opportunity to get anything engraved, it’s so formal!

This option is nice too, it too can be monogrammed, and it allows for greater levels of organization with all the drawers.

While browsing other options, I can across this man-box, which is perfect for man stuff. Leo never has a designated place to stash the contents of his pockets, but this could be perfect.

Or this one from Urban Outfitters. And there are a bunch of ones over at Anthropologie, although their website is always impossible to see anything on, so stopping into a store is probably a better bet.
Rose and Radish…

When in San Francisco, I always stay in Hayes Valley. It has tons of cute shops and small places to get great food. For some reason I never noticed Rose and Radish before, they have amazing home goods, kids toys, and an amazing flower/plant service.

I picked up a cute pair of these Jeffrey Cambell ‘Office’ shoes at Vagabond yesterday. Mine are black, but they don’t seem to be on the web yet, so you’ll just have to use your imagination (or go to Vagabond).

Last week as part of LA’s Fashion Week, one of my best friends in the world, Lizz Wasserman was chosen to have her first runway show at Gen Art’s “Fashionably Natural” show. Her line is called Pomomomo, and here is the link to her site,www.popomomo.com. I’m loving the screened t’s and the oversized dresses.

I’ve been a huge fan of French designer Isabel Marant for years, her look is so chic and casual. These looks are from her spring show that just hit the runway. It’s really inspiring to see a high end line that can apply to streetwear.

Just have to have it…Paris style
Sunday, October 5th, 2008
Being in Paris always makes me want a whole new wardrobe..but given the exchange rate it’s safer for my bank statment if I wait until I get home. So, here are a few essentials that are similar to my Paris cravings. Above are a pair of Fornarina boots from Urban Outfitters.

A longchamp bag, in black.

Anything by Princess Tam Tam.

They use the best colors and best fabrics.

And the fit is so cute and so much smaller cut than American styles.

And the prints and trims are just adorable.
