Fashion fatigue…sneakers

As some of you know, I’ve been totally obsessed with aerobics and yoga.  I’ve been using my old gear from college, but it’s about time that I upgraded to something beyond my paint splattered sneakers.  The challenge is, I find all sneakers to be highly offensive.  In the attempt to look fast, or high performance, sneakers fail to do what all my favorite fashion shoes do, which is to have a sleek minimal look.  I’ve scoured the internet for a good pair of cross trainers, and these options are the best I can find.  Please let me know if you have any suggestions! BTW, I wasn’t totally sure what the difference was between a running sneaker and a cross trainer…it turns out that a cross training shoe is more multi-task orientated and offers more lateral support. They also assist you by giving you additional weight bearing stability.  Seems as though running shoes are also more flexible, but since I only run if something is chasing me, I don’t think I’ll need my shoes to be all that flexy.  The above is the ASICS GEL-FX 2 ($71.99).

I’m a big Nike fan, here are the Nike Air Zoom Trainer Essential ($78).

I like the simplicity of this shoe, Zoom Quick Sister+ ($85).
