I just received this lovely necklace by Annie Costello Brown the other day (in black) and I’m loving it! I’m really into bib style necklaces and this amazing mixture of leather, beads, and chain are perfect. Check out her site for her other work.

Wedding shoes resolved?

Finding the right wedding dress was easy, but finding the perfect shoes to match is the tricky part. I wanted to wear heels, but I’m trying to be practical being that it’s an outdoor ceremony and reception. I’m a girl that loves heels (mostly because I have chubby ankles and heels do wonders for covering that up!)…but these flats might be the answer to me getting through the day without sinking into the lawn. And it doesn’t hurt that they are from Delia’s and are only $42, they also come in black, turq, and pale yellow.

Cork flats…

Lately I feel like everyone I talk to is pining over what flats to wear to work.  I was paging through nymag.com (one of my favorite sources for what’s going on) and I came across these amazing cork flats.  I love that they are similar to the vintage ones you often come across while thrifting, but actually come in your size! For the mere price of $265 and a jaunt down to Jeffrey (449 W. 14th St) these can be yours.

Manoush…

I’m loving the Manoush website. I’ve been a long time fan of Manoush, and always saw the line in my favorite boutiques, but never even thought to see if they had a site. I got curious just now, and took a gander and was pleasantly surprised. Small lines always tend to have weird non-functioning websites, but this one is a feast for the eyes! The styling absolutely perfect and beautifully arranged mixing and matching so many inspirations/ideas from morrocan-ish belts to femme embroideries which feel like treasured doilies.

Prada-esque head wraps…

Alas, everything looks better in Teen Vogue…I love the idea of these wacky Prada-esque pin-up girl headbands, but I’m seriously doubting my ability to rock these outside of the house. What do we all think, do any of you dare to sport it on the street?

I’ve found love, in a jazz shoe…

Okay, so I finally found a jazz shoe I actually love. The other day I received an anonymous tip regarding these adorable shoes by B. The online store, bStore London, carries the brand Marrie which has some really similar cute styles. I love how delicate they are, and in red, so unexpected!

Karen Walker Jewelry…

Karen Walker’s jewelery site is unreal. I love the creepy crawly product photography for her latest work. The lobster shot is my second fav, but I think that we all will agree that slipping the rings on the fish’s tail is amazingly brilliant.

Birthday Bliss: the Malory Boot

I’m planning on posting about some of the great presents I received from my friends and family, but first I must report on my favorite birthday present. After a long wait, I finally received the most amazing birthday present in the whole world in the mail yesterday. These boots are by Anna Sui for Anthropologie and I find them to be completely fabulous. Mine are a soft brown color which are no longer being offered, but if any of you ladies feel like splurging you can catch these in Navy (as shown above). The artwork is laser etched into the boot and features a variety of motifs, from griffins to castles. They are truly magical!

Trend or Not? Jazz shoes…

So, I have a burning question for you all. What do we think about these shoes?
I keep seeing them pop up in photoshoots and so many of the cutest girls in Williamsburg are sporting them, but why do I hate the ideas of these pseudo jazz shoes so much??? Is this trend only happening because Kirsten Dust was seen sporting a white pair? What do you think, is this good or bad fashion?

New Amazing Store!!! Required Shopping: Mc&Co

mc&co.jpg
Leo and I were strolling around Williamsburg this weekend doing some holiday shopping when we came across my new favorite shop. Mc&Co is a small new shop located at 57  North 6th Street. It’s a wonderful collection of home and personal objects. Everything has a very warm but pleasantly reserved feeling. It was so refreshing to step into a store full of beautiful things which I had never seen before. These days so many shops carry the same brands, but this store is absolute bliss. This shop was opened in September in by Corinne Gilbert, who is one of the most pleasant shop owners I’ve come across in a while. I advise all of you in the NY area to make the trip out there, I assure you will be as delighted as I am to have found it!

Wooden Jewelry…

made_in_tandem copy.jpg

I’ve been seeing a lot of wood based jewelry happening lately by small designers. Above (and to the left) is an awesome necklace from Made in Tandem. Their pieces are mixtures of precious little trinkets, and exotic pieces of wood. Check out their site here. And if you are in the Williamsburg area on Saturday come down and check their pieces out in person at the ‘Gift on Grand‘. To the right is another example of wooden jewelry, it’s is a ring by Enrique Muthuan. I love the idea, but I hate how his initials are etched in there.

I was paging through W’s Jewelry Magazine and came across the work of Julie Wolfe. I’m in love with the above ring, it feels like an antique egyptian relic. Her pieces are available at Barneys.

Everyone’s favorite affordably accessible accessories designer, Erica Weiner has a great new website. Check it out here. I have a bunch of Erica’s pieces, and I’m always craving more, the porcupine quill necklace is next on my list…

The Best Gift a girl could ever want…

Linda from Honeymilk has a great new site where you can all purchase her fabulous hand crafted earrings (which I have so many pairs of, all essential, totally an addiction). She also has necklaces and garments for sale as well.  This way all of you out-of-state-ers can get a glimpse of what Philly has to offer.
