I was paging through W’s Jewelry Magazine and came across the work of Julie Wolfe. I’m in love with the above ring, it feels like an antique egyptian relic. Her pieces are available at Barneys.

Everyone’s favorite affordably accessible accessories designer, Erica Weiner has a great new website. Check it out
here. I have a bunch of Erica’s pieces, and I’m always craving more, the porcupine quill necklace is next on my list…

Linda from Honeymilk has a great new
site where you can all purchase her fabulous hand crafted earrings (which I have so many pairs of, all essential, totally an addiction). She also has necklaces and garments for sale as well. This way all of you out-of-state-ers can get a glimpse of what Philly has to offer.

Tsumori Chisato is almost impossible to track down on the web, but I’ve managed to find some shots of her spring 07 collection. I love her shoe silhouettes, and her amazing use of patterning. The day of the dead theme she pursued for this collection actually works, and I’m craving the last image on the bottom right, a skull lace dress.

I love these leather hand knit bags by my dear friend Lana Williams. For those of you in Greece, you can find her bags at Paramour in Kifissia, or Avant Garde in Kolonaki. I’m personally craving the grey bag on the left. Check out her
website for other inspiring hand knit creations and to custom order her works.

It doesn’t hurt that I’m totally obsessed with all things cream+black right now, but my ladies over at Free People have done an amazing job! I love the crafty craziness of the pom-poms, the embroidery, and the fringe, its yarn madness.

Hello everyone! Sorry to disappear for a few days, Leo and I just got engaged on Saturday!!! Leo and my friend
Sarah Dunbar Rhodes (my schoolmate at RISD) who also happens to be my favorite jewelry designer of all time, designed the ring together.

Headbands are the new legging. Everyone in NY, whether they are fashionable or not are sporting these bands around the tops of their heads. I cannot embrace this trend. The look is soooo 2nd grade, and anyways headbands always press on the sides of my head and end up inducing a painful headache. I know beauty hurts, but headbands are not worth the pain.

I was getting my
fringe trimmed at
Commune (the cutest hair salon in the world) and came across some new pieces by Aaron Ruff of
Digby and Iona. Instantly I hauled Leo and myself over to
The Market NYC located at 268 Mulberry Street (between Prince & Houston) to buy the ’square jewel ring’ from the artist directly (at a modest discount from the retail price). I love this piece (the second in from the left), it’s like a ring that a grandma would wear, but so sartorial/clever with the slab of faceted silver rather than a gaudy gem. I’m a big fan of Aaron’s work; you might be familiar with him from a write-up in NYLON mag a bunch of months ago for his pendant of a couple making-out.

An amazing dream catcher bag from
Creatures of Comfort. This site is amazing it carries so many of my favorite designers (like Jessica Ogden,Zucca, and Alexandre Herchcovitch).

I picked up a great, birch inspired, silver cuff bracelet from
Twigs and Heather at the Renegade Craft sale (pictured above, top). This amazing twin sister design team’s work is inspired by nature. They use items such as twigs, acorns, maple seeds and sea glass. Each piece is handmade and one-of-a-kind, using the lost wax and natural burn out casting methods.

Another great find from the Art for the Cash Poor craft sale. This beautiful necklace is by
Allison Tarcelli. I love the ragged quality of the ribbon mixed with her clean silver working techniques.

I love this big slouchy bag which Leo and I found the other week while dropping off our Lucyology shirts to Sodafine. I know tiny bags are supposed to be cool right now, but it’s not working out for me. I bought the cutest little vintage knock-off at H&M and it’s been sitting in my room for weeks. I’m not even a high maintenance girl but I require some storage room in a bag. Emily (of Sodafine) recently has been into leather working, and these generously sized bags all have an old-timey but fashion forward appearance. Each one is a little different from the next, each has different patches and materials.
