I am obsessed with Diane von Furstenberg’s latest ad campaign, shot by French artist François-Marie Banier. My favorite aspect of the campaign is the hand written script collaged onto the shot below.

I’m a huge Kris Chau fan, and for those of you in the Philly area she is having a solo show at Vagabond boutique. The show is entitled “you folks”, all new paintings and new drawings for you and me. The opening is February 8th from 6pm-10pm, and the show will be up until March 2nd. See you there!

I just came across the work of illustrator Chrissie Abbott.  Her various typographies and collages are awesome. Definitely check out her site, and the two page illustration she created for the February issue of Nylon.

I recently came across the amazing illustrations of local artist, Kirk Hiatt.  Since working for MoonblooD, I’ve grown quite an affinity for wolves and love his graphite interpretation.  My favorite, however, is this sharpie and india ink abstraction.  Check out more of Kirk’s work here.

I recently bought illustrator Keri Smith’s new DIY book, The Guerilla Art Kit. The book hones in on the concept that art is for everyone, and shares tons of fun guerilla art installation ideas. My favorite project was the “You Are Here” map, which can be created by simply mounting a map of your town and then pointing out your location with markers or stickers. I’m looking forward to checking out these crocheted pieces at Art Star. They are by Emily Barletta, whose work is hand crocheted to reference imaginary body structures.

The other night Erin from Bird and Banner mentioned Hi+Low, a great new blog. It’s written by Abby Clawson Low. It’s a great collection of fun finds. I love how specific her taste is, lovely!

I love this flying series by Jan Von Holleben. It feels like a story book.

I was introduced to Marcus Nilsson’s photographer yesterday, and I’m totally in love with his ability to capture the mundane in an achingly beautiful way. His pictures are amazingly minimal but are jam packed with expression, strong colors and contrast. Check out his site here:marcusnilsson.com.

I love these whimsical illustrations by camilla pentti. Her work is so lovely and color based.

The other day when I was so taken with Kate Moss’s graphic identity, I had no idea who to thank for all it’s lovely-ness. Turns out British graphic designer Peter Saville in conjunction with Paul Barnes is responsible. You may have seen Peter’s work on album covers for bands such as Joy Division and New Order. Basically his stuff is amazingly rad, check out some more of his work here (Designed by Peter Saville) or here (co-author of Visionaire 36).
