Super Lives of Supermodels…

supermodels.jpgIn the early 90′s Linda Evangelista, Naomi Campbell, Christy Turlington, and Cindy Crawford, rulled the runway. Now we have passed another major grouping of modells i.e. Gemma Ward, Kate Moss, Daria W, and Giselle. Who are the next big faces going to be?

Leo and I are predicting that there may be a strong Asian posse hitting the runway this season. What do you think?

In the styling war between hair and makeup, the tresses had the upper hand in this years spring couture shows. Lacroix, Chanel, and Gaultier all got the memo. Gaultier shoved random pieces of trim into the up-dos of his models (I think that Gaultier caught a glimpse of Givenchy’s faux lace styling disaster and decided to throw a touch of lace onto Du Juan’s forehead, as shown in the upper left). Chanel (bottom left) handled this styling concept with the most control, the metal flowers and garnishes looked purposeful and added tremendously to the overall look of the show. Lastly we have Lacroix (bottom right) whose look is overdone, but that is what the house is known for. So, I guess, it’s okay.

Fierce Nails…

Check out these fierce nails. Fashion is getting sluttier by the second with all the towering heels; we’ve got to have the nails to match. I’ve played around with having the salon glue crystals to various parts of my nails and I’ve been holding on to this tear from NYLON for a while, so it’s finally time for me to take the plunge and get it done. I’ll let you know how it works out!

Smoky eyes…

Scarlett's EyesScarlett Johansson looks ravishing with her new smoky eye make-up. It’s great that she has made such a wonderful recovery from the Imitation of Christ incident. It seems as though Woody Allen has done her a favor by shaping her looks for Matchpoint. One of our favorite readers Becky D recommends using MAC eye pencil in ebony to achieve this smoky look, thanks for the input Becky!
