I always love anything by Ann Wood.  Her boats are always so lovely!  I highly recomend anyone who is getting married to check out her blog for cake toppers, she made custom ones for our wedding which were so beautiful).

Leo surprised me with an iphone when I got back from Paris, and so far I’m loving it. The only down side is inevitably scratching the face. I’ve been looking around for something to slip it into, as most purses don’t have pockets sized for this growing trend in phones. Here is the best that Etsy has to offer, the case above is by Working Class Heroes.

I’m looking forward to checking out these crocheted pieces at Art Star. They are by Emily Barletta, whose work is hand crocheted to reference imaginary body structures.

This weekend while participating in the Gift on Grand I met Ann Wood.  I am completely enamored with her beautiful aesthetic and fantastical creations.  I love these boats.  I strongly advise checking out her website to see her amazing handmade birds.  I’m deeply contemplating having some birds custom made for as our wedding cake topper.

I love these lace imprinted paving slabs from Jethro Macey. Check out some of his other pieces on his site. Another piece worth checking out is his ‘kiss my ass’ mug, it would be great for that early morning cup of coffee at the office.

Here is another image from By Hand, my new favorite book. This piece is by Robyn Love. Her work is homespun and haunting at the same time. This particular piece is a gravestone cozy which she hand knit and embroidered. This piece was created in ’97, but it’s so fashion right at the moment. It’s perfectly compatible with Dolce and Gabana’s fall 06 collection (shown on right). Check out Robyn’s site for more of her knit pieces.

It doesn’t hurt that I’m totally obsessed with all things cream+black right now, but my ladies over at Free People have done an amazing job! I love the crafty craziness of the pom-poms, the embroidery, and the fringe, its yarn madness.
