In the latest issue of Martha Stewart’s Living mag, there was a blurb about A Collection A Day, which is devoted to Lisa’s collections of vintage objects (and drawings of ones she imagines).

One of my favorite purchases during the soldes (sales), was a Sandro sweater. It’s lovely, and keeps me nice and warm. Here are a bunch of Sandro’s looks for Spring.
More rolled shorts (shown above)…

These little suede booties were all the rage too. I snatched a pair too, mine have a higher heel, I love how they have a very slight western feel but are not costume-y at all.

I love these jeans, I tried a pair of old Levis that were distressed like these at Urban, but alas, they look best on those that are tall and slim.

The droopy pants were one trend I couldn’t really embrace. It just seems silly to make ones legs look shorter than they are. Although I do love the plaid tops in these shots.

Cropped denim…

So, we are back from Paris. It was a great trip, I always love being in Paris for Valentines Day. I’ll be posting some pictures from our trip soon. The biggest apparel trend we came across was rolled up denim. Almost every store window featured this boyfriend looking jean cropped with basic tops.

I’m loving the new Alexander Girard font put out by House Industries. The above is polished copper Girard Script with clear lacquer, which is just gorgeous.

This one is polished brass Girard Sky with clear lacquer.
Relaxing over break…
Tuesday, December 30th, 2008I hope everyone had an amazing holiday. I’ve been relaxing and catching up on everyone’s blogs, and there are two that I came across that I am loving (I read their sites start to finish!).
Once Wed,http://www.oncewed.com an amazing wedding themed blog for quirky girls. And, Mood Board, which covers fashion and home style with a great modern eye.

I love Showpony’s etsy shop. I’m a tea towel lover, and this one is so cute. I love that the letters are made up of stacks of dirty dishes.
Jamie Oliver…

I love the images Joy posted of Pearlfisher’s package designs for Jamie Oliver. I’m a huge foodie, so I love anything food related. These have such a nice feeling of old-timey charm mixed with modern minimalism.

It’s a tradition in my family to give the gift of books for Christmas. I’ve been a bit slow on posting my book requests, but I’ll be posting a few of my most wanted. I’ve been really wanting to get Lena’s Feast.

Loving Tillandsias…
Friday, December 5th, 2008
I’m loving this variety of Tillandsia over at DWR. I’d love to see some good pictures of how others have arranged their own Tillandsias. I found this great picture, shown below, with some lovely glass jars. This could be a great Christmas present for friends that lack a green thumb. These plants are known to be really low maintenance and require barely any watering, but still look as chic as an orchid.
