After looking over the Nordstrom dress selection for a good couple hours, I finally made a decision on what to wear to Leo’s brother’s wedding. I decided on this
Trina Turk dress. I love the silk jersey fabric (should be great for dancing!) and the back of the dress has a really nice metal ring detail. My other choice was the below Theory dress, I love the print, but it didn’t feel dressy enough for the occasion.
I also helped my mom find a great crochet dress at
Lilly Pulitzer that she is going to look fabulous in.

Leo’s brother is getting married next weekend, and I’m trying to find the perfect dress. I’m loving this
Milly dress.

I typically like Rachel Comey’s use of print, but the knitwear in her fall ’08 collection really made an impression on me. I absolutely love the sweater dress.

With spring just around the corner, I’ve been scouring the net for warm weather duds. I love dressing comfortably, and theres no better way to do that than by taking an alternate spin to the classic tee. I love this over-sized nautical top from Whitley Kros. The buttons down the back are really cute.

This knit dress from Japanese designer Tsumori Chisato is also really chic. I could see this paired with flats or heels for a clean and simplistic look.

Stella McCartney’s Fall ’08 collection is incredible. I love how she incorporated felt into the line with voluminous jackets and cutout mini dresses. I want the entire second outfit from head to toe.

These adorable wooden bags were probably my favorite part of the entire show.

Boho looks are definitely beginning to creep back onto the runways this season. I loved the Anna Sui fall collection. It was such a beautiful mash up of rich color and eccentric prints. I especially enjoyed these outrageous embroidered boots.

The Gucci collection was also pretty amazing. Inspired by Russian folklore, the line featured adorable peasant tops and fringed riding boots. I love how they layered thick sashes with skinny leather belts.

I’ve always had a sweet spot for
Henrik Vibskov’s amazing knitwear. His fresh use of both simple and complex graphic prints is really extraordinary. While checking out the British online store,
No-One, I discovered that he also designs shoes. My favorite pair are these adorable electric blue booties.

Nicolas Ghesquière never ceases to amaze me. Each collection he creates is pure gold in my view, and his pre-fall line is no exception. This time around he decide to go prep, and I love this layered sweater and shift mini look. The brooch definitely makes the outfit, though. After looking through the whole line, I think these square tipped booties are my favorite creations. His shoes are always so fresh and inspiring.

I don’t know if it’s a new thing or what, but I love how style.com is showing a selection of designer pre-fall collections. Out of all the collections displayed, Missoni’s is by far my favorite. With Mary Tyler Moore as it’s muse, the collection features an adorable fusion of mod and preppy styles. My favorite piece is this amazing short-sleeve sweater, which wonderfully demonstrates the label’s signature knitting capabilities.

I’ve been noticing scribble and splatter prints all over the spring runways, including the Miss Sixty, Abaete, and Phi collections. I love how Phi interpreted the trend into their ombre cardigans, which were paired with amazingly androgynous suits. But since I tend to go the more casual route, I chose this super graphic version from Urban Outfitters.

I’m obsessed with New York Magazine’s fashion spin-off, New York Look. More like a primary source rather than your typical fashion mag, New York Look breaks down all of the best collections of the S/S ’08 season. Not only are you given access to color, silhouette, and beauty trends, but you also get to see all the juicy, not-so-publicized details of fashion week, including runway backdrops, front row attendees, and designer inspirations. My favorite spread, titled “From Every Angle,” gave a photographic montage of all the front row and backstage action.

I’m so excited about
Marimekko’s collaboration with
H&M, which is due to launch this April. The collection of men’s, women’s and children’s apparel will feature the firm’s signature prints from the 50s through the 70s. I can’t wait to get my hands on one of the tunic dresses!

Keith Haring is one of my favorite artists, so you can imagine how excited I was to see his influence in Alexander McQueen’s latest McQ collection. My favorite piece is this Men’s t-shirt. Unfortunately, the print wasn’t used in any women’s garments, but I still love it none the less.
