I’m loving Michelle Obama’s style.  Her mixing of high and low fashion from day to day is so of the times.  Plus, I’m a huge JCREW fan so it’s great to see her wearing it, and her daughters look amazingly cute in the JCREW kids line.  I also like that she has taken an interest in small designers such as Jason Wu (for the sparkly inauguration dress) and Isabel Toledo for the yellow number in the bottom image.

Debate… The Return of Platforms

Nooo! I was truly convinced that this trend was dead for good, but for the past year now, the super-high stacked platform has begun to resurface. Here are two of the latest platform designs from Yves Saint Laurent and Allesandro Dell’Aqua. I think these brick heels should remain as seventies relics, never to be taken out of their museum glass cases. What do you guys think?

Love it or Hate it??? Furry Vests…

Isabel Marant is my all time favorite designer. Every time I go to Paris, I schedule my first day around making a trip to her store. The above image is an Isabel Marant ad from a French magazine. The most common high-street trend I saw was the furry vest. It’s kind of a weird trapper-chic look. I’m not a fur person (I only wear it if it’s vintage), what do you think? Love it or Hate it?

Love it or Hate it…Fall Feathers…

Can someone please explain to me why feathers are in???
Although it’s my nature to love anything Prada (as shown above), I just can’t get into it. When I was watching Kimora Lee Simmons’ new show, Life in the Fab Lane, and Vogue Editor-at-Large, Andre Leon Talley suggested she wear feathers, I thought it was ridiculous…but Andre was on to something, it really is the biggest trend of the moment, do you love it or hate it?
