One more spring 07 collection: Tsumori Chisato
Monday, October 16th, 2006
Tsumori Chisato is almost impossible to track down on the web, but I’ve managed to find some shots of her spring 07 collection. I love her shoe silhouettes, and her amazing use of patterning. The day of the dead theme she pursued for this collection actually works, and I’m craving the last image on the bottom right, a skull lace dress.
Mini Mouse Rules!
Tuesday, September 19th, 2006
Mini Mouse style has never been so strong. I love all these different approach to dots. These are the largest, most dominant dots we have seen in a while. I feel that for the last couple years we have been mostly seeing tiny, barely-there polka dots. This direction with strong dots speaks volumes for the strength and pop of this years spring collections. Above are looks by Betsy Johnson,Milly,Cynthia Rowley,Zac Posen, and Karen Walker.
Home Goods: Bright, Bright, Bright!!!
Saturday, September 16th, 2006
I’ve had enough of fashion for today. Here are some fun home goods from Kitsch Kitchen. I love this scandanavian/mexican bright kitsch movement that is going on in home goods. I’m especially in love with the rubber chicken in the upper left, all other images are modern oilcloth patterns.
???:Vena Cava
Friday, September 15th, 2006
Ummm…I think they misunderstood the assignment. Vena Cava, who as of the other week was one of my favorite lines, no longer has my love. It’s not okay to repeat a print (see left) and anyways I already have that dress on the right (originally by Built by Wendy, the arrow print dress).
Papergoods: Vintage Wedding Wrapping Papers
Tuesday, September 12th, 2006
In rummaging through my magazine tears I found these amazingly cute wedding themed wrapping papers. Leo and I found them at Rocket to Mars in Providence,RI. Rocket to Mars is my favorite place in the world for finding super kitsch household goods.

Prints: Cath Kidston Style
Monday, September 11th, 2006
Normally I’m not into Cath Kidston style prints, but recently they have been growing on me. I love the British propriety that is synonymous with this style of floral prints.
Designer Allert: Helle Mardahl
Friday, August 25th, 2006

Black and white t-shirts are the new cool kid on the block. Helle Mardahl makes amazing black and white graphic creations. Check out her site to see her illustrations and garments. The bag is courtesy of style.com, apparently it’s Copenhagen’s ‘it’ bag.

Sunday, July 30th, 2006
I was trolling around the internet and La Femme’s post from a while ago reminded me to look at Tsumori Chisato’s Fall 05 fashion show. I love the proportions and overall style.

Another print I found while vacationing in NJ…It’s rare to find a print that contains all of these motifs, i.e. ships, fishing gear, bullets, pipes, horse show ribbons and archery supplies.
