Thursday, April 22nd, 2010
Today we are taking off for our dream vacation. First we head to Lisbon.
Then, we meet up with friends in Barcelona.
We will pop over to Morocco.
And, finally end up in Madrid. All of these amazing pictures are from Flickr, this morning I found so many amazing photos, so much more exciting than any travel guide! There is even a Polaroid Spain Group. I am in total vacation mode now.
Got it…ready for vacation!
Thursday, April 22nd, 2010Just ran out the other day to pick up some last minute items for our amazing vacation. I picked up this cute hat from Urban Outfitters. After trying on a few in the store, I picked this one as it’s nice and small, so it doesn’t feel too costume-y.
Wildwood…
Sunday, May 24th, 2009After being in LA for the week, Leo and I headed down to Wildwood, NJ for our annual memorial day vacation. This is our 5th year coming down here, and there’s so much to love. We spent our first day here rooting around the yard sales. The best way to find the yard sales is to stop at any Wawa and pick up the Shopee paper. It has many listings, and you’ll find lots of other yard sales along the way. After a long day of shopping we headed out to the beach.
This morning we decided to work off some of the coronas from the night before, and headed out to yoga class in Cape May. It was tricky to find a Sunday class, but Balance Studio (600 Park Blvd, Cape May) luckily had a vinyasa class at 10am.

Stockholm…day 1
Sunday, April 19th, 2009I’m in Stockholm at the moment, and I’ve been loving it! It is such an amazing city that I knew so little about before coming over. We flew into the city at 7am and starting to look for things to do. After checking into the hotel we headed out to see if there was anything open. The city wakes up a bit later than we do in the US, so we spent the first few hours sipping lattes and staring at our map. We stuck close to our hotel at first, exploring the Norrmalm area. Drottning street has a lot of great large shops which seem to open around 11am. We went to SOUK first, which is a great combination of shops all in one. They have Topshop,Topman,Oasis,Jane Norman, and Beyond Retro all under one roof. It’s like a mini UK shopping complex.

Then we headed over to PUB (Paul U Bergstroms), which so far is my favorite shop. It’s a great multi-floor department store which has amazing cute small designers featured throughout. We also had a fantastic lunch in the cafe. They have really cute antique furniture too, which is upholstered with vintage men’s button-up shirts.

Here is the view from the cafe, it overlooks the square that has a fruit/vegetable/flower market.

Drinking lattes with Laura at PUB.

Flowers at the flower market, all the tulips are sooo pretty. Then we hopped on the subway system (which is a little pricey if you buy by the trip) from the Central stop to Medborgarplatsen. We headed over to the SoFo area (south of Folkungagatan), which is located in the eastern side of Sodermalm. The best streets to walk down are Asogatan, Bondeg, Skanegatan, Nytogsgatan, and Renstiernas Gata. It’s a really cute area with a great mix of women’s and men’s clothing, home goods, and great places to grab a latte and some blueberry pie.
Some of the best shops to check out are:

Beyond Retro (for second hand clothes) 144 Asogatan, Repris (second hand) 48 Bondegatan

Tjallamalia 46 Bondegatan

Sara Clausin (high end small designers, like Paul & Joe) 50 Bondegatan.
Then we went to Judits (2nd hand) 75 Hornsgatan,

Grandpa (really cute men’s and women’s clothing 21 Sodermannagatan.

We stopped to get a snack at 7-knop, which was super cute.

A cute cafe in SoFo.

Back from Mexico…off to Stockholm
Sunday, April 12th, 2009Hi Everyone,
I’m back from Mexico, but now I’m off to Stockholm. I’ve never been to Sweeden before, so I’d love any suggestions you might have!
